Neelin’s Quinton Hunter and Steven Siebrecht of Crocus Plains were named Winnipeg High School Football League Players of the Week.
Hunter, who plays for the Spartans in the Andy Currie Division, was named defensive player of the week, amassing three interceptions, two tackles and a touchdown in Neelin’s 40-0 win over Sisler.
Siebrecht, who plays for the Plainsmen in the Kas Vidruk Division, was named the defensive player of the week, with 15 tackles and a sack in a first week loss 32-29 to the St. Paul’s Crusaders.
