Minnedosa natives Thomas Roche and Jason Galbraith will try to crack Canada’s under-20 men’s rugby team roster this weekend.
The former members of the Minnedosa Chancellors high school rugby team will attend the national team selection camp that begins on Friday in Shawnigan Lake, B.C., and runs through to Tuesday. It’s Roche’s second chance to wear Canada’s colours, after making the national under-18 team that competed on a tour of Great Britain in 2010, going on to captain the Prairie Wolf Pack at the Canadian under-19 championship in Edmonton last summer.
