Locals shape up for competition

Six Brandonites are slated to compete in the International Drug Free Athletics Prairie Classic bodybuilding championships at the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium on Saturday, according to organizers.

Tracy MacGranachan will compete in the transformation challenge division as well as the women’s masters figure and women’s novice figure events. Janna MacDonald will compete in the transformation challenge and women’s novice fitness model class. Marcy Duncalfe will take part in women’s novice fitness model and women’s novice figure.

Amanda Branigan will also participate in the women’s novice fitness model division, while Marc Olsen and Ryan Jacobson have both entered the men’s novice bodybuilding category to round out the Brandon contingent.

The Prairie Classic starts at 5 p.m.
