Magic 0-2 on first day

The Westman Peewee Magic got off to a rough start at the under-14 western Canadian girls softball championship at Maple Ridge, B.C. on Friday.

The Magic were shut out 9-0 by the White Rock (B.C.) Renegades in their morning game and then dropped an 11-1 decision to the Delta (B.C.) Heat in the evening.

Westman’s round robin continues today and Sunday with the top four squads in the nine-team field advancing to the playoffs.
