Magic win pair of games

Kailee Stewart and the Westman Magic U18 softball team won a pair of exhibition games over the Winnipeg Thunder on Sunday at Lions Diamond.

In the first game, Stewart gave up three runs and struck out five in the first three innings and returned to the mound in the seventh where she retired the side in Westman’s 4-3 win. Jodie Baker scored the winning run in the seventh on a throwing error.

In the back end of the double dip, Stewart gave up seven runs on seven hits and struck out five in seven innings as the Magic won 8-7. Baker doubled and launched a three-run blast.

Adrienne Schmall and Darrien Cantelo added a pair of singles.
