Westman Wildcats forward Jaycee Magwood has earned the nod as the Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League’s player of the week.

Magwood, the Wildcats’ captain, scored two goals and assisted on two others to help Westman win both of its weekend games versus the Eastman Selects and Winnipeg Avros. The Grade 11 Killarney Collegiate student has 17 goals and 30 points in 20 games to sit fourth in league scoring and has 44 goals and 72 points in 50 games overall for the Wildcats (9-6-5). Magwood will also suit up for Team Westman at the Manitoba Winter Games in Morden from March 5-8.
