Eric Zamrykut went 2-for-3 and scored three runs as the Brandon Marlins dumped the Neepawa Farmers 8-2 in a Manitoba Senior Baseball League game on Wednesday night at Andrews Field.
Zamrykut doubled, singled and stole three bases for the Marlins (8-3-1).
Paul Thompson was 2-for-3 with a double, a run scored and three RBIs, while Dustin Asham and Nolan Jago also had two hits apiece for Brandon. Asham drove in two runs, while Jago swiped two bags.
Ian Kerkowitch went 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Farmers, who have dropped 10 straight games after winning their season opener.
Jesse Goertzen struck out eight and allowed six hits in seven innings for the win. One of the two runs he gave up was unearned.
Josh Loewen pitched all eight innings and took the loss for Neepawa, striking out eight but allowing 11 hits and hitting three batters.
