Massey beats host Boissevain

Ricky Nicholson scored a pair of goals for the Vincent Massey Vikings on Sunday in Boissevain as they beat the host Broncos 6-2 in the Westman High School Hockey League.

Cam Gardiner, Wyatt Garden, Chipper Osiname and Clark Whelpton added singles for Massey (6-1-2), while Cooper Blaine made 18 saves. Skylar Canada and Raymond Creek replied for the Broncos (4-4-0), who got a 38-save effort from Jay Pringle.

Elsewhere Sunday, it was Neepawa Tigers 9, Glenboro/Carberry/Baldur Wildcats 1; and Virden Golden Bears 3, Rivers/Elton Rage 1.

On Saturday, it was: Dauphin Clippers 4, Killarney/Wawanesa Raiders 0; and Hamiota Huskies 4, Souris/Reston Sabres 0.

Golden Bears 3 Rage 1

At Virden, Kyle Elliott scored a pair of goals and Cody Colon added the other marker for Virden (5-3-0). Dawson Lawrence netted the lone response from the Rage (6-4-0).

Tigers 9 Wildcats 1

At Glenboro, Wyatt Salmon scored four goals and set up another for Neepawa (7-2-0), while Shane Levandosky and Garett Rempel both had a goal and three helpers. Jon Fiskel replied for the Wildcats (1-6-1).

Clippers 4 Raiders 0

At Dauphin, Brendan Kruk scored twice, with Jessy Morran and Braeden Syrnyk adding singles for the Clippers (7-1-1), while Cole Ritchot made 25 saves for the shutout. The Raiders fell to 2-6-0.

Huskies 4 Sabres 0

At Souris, the Huskies (1-6-1) won their first game of the season, while the Sabres fell to 0-7-1.
