Robert Hechler scored the overtime winner and had two assists as the Brandon Wheat Kings rallied from a 3-1 deficit to beat the Southwest Cougars 4-3 in a Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League pre-season game Wednesday night at the Sportsplex.
Tanner Kaspick, a bantam-aged 14-year-old, who was granted permission to try and earn a spot on the Midget AAA Wheat Kings, added a goal and an assist, as did Coltyn Bates. James Shearer also scored for Brandon.
