MJHL's Natives trade Gamblin

The Neepawa Natives traded 18-year-old forward Matt Gamblin of Brandon to the OCN Blizzard for future considerations in one of two Manitoba Junior Hockey League trades announced Monday.

Gamblin had three goals and three assists in 21 MJHL games last season with the Steinbach Pistons.

Meanwhile, the Dauphin Kings dealt the rights to 20-year-old right-winger Tim Rollins to the La Ronge Ice Wolves of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League for future considerations. Rollins had 15 goals and 37 points in 55 games for the Battlefords North Stars last season.

In other news, two MJHL clubs have cracked the first CJHL rankings of the season. The Portage Terriers are the seventh-ranked Junior A team in the country, while the Winnipeg Blues are 15th.
