Russell’s Jon Montgomery was the top Canadian at a World Cup skeleton race in Altenberg, Germany, on Saturday, finishing in ninth place.
Montgomery had the seventh-best time in the first run, but was 12th in the second, finishing with a total time of two minutes, 1.14 seconds. He was 2.70 seconds behind leader Martins Dukurs of Latvia.
