Russell’s Jon Montgomery closed out the World Cup skeleton tour with a disappointing 12th-place finish in Sochi, Russia on Friday.
Montgomery, the 33-year-old reigning Olympic gold medallist, posted a combined time of one minutes, 56.28 seconds in his two runs, finishing 2.16 seconds behind race winner and World Cup champion Martins Dukurs of Latvia. Montgomery finishes the season ranked 10th in the World Cup with 1,160 points.
