Souris native Hudson Morrison scored 12 seconds into overtime to give the Dauphin Kings a 3-2 comeback victory over the host OCN Blizzard in Manitoba Junior Hockey League action Tuesday night.
Elsewhere last night, it was: Selkirk Steelers 4, Winnipeg Blues 3.
In The Pas, Brett Griffin and Justin Valentino also scored goals for the Kings (26-14-1). Darien Cardinal and David MacGregor replied for the Blizzard (15-23-4), who led 2-0 midway through the second period. Killarney native Brian Archibald — acquired from Dauphin at Friday’s MJHL trade deadline — made a whopping 57 saves for OCN.
Steelers 4 Blues 3
In Winnipeg, Parker Thomas scored the tiebreaking goal to lift the league-leading Steelers.
Joel Messner, Soren Fredriksen and Adam Wowryk also scored for Selkirk (34-6-2), while Channing Bresciani, Brett Brooks and Liam Bilton replied for the Blues (21-16-5).
