The Neepawa Natives have acquired the rights to 16-year-old left-winger Duncan Campbell of Brandon.
The Manitoba Junior Hockey League club dealt 18-year-old defenceman Brendan Dusik and 18-year-old goaltender Alex Henry to the OCN Blizzard on Thursday in exchange for Campbell and future considerations.
Campbell, a third-round pick in last year’s MJHL bantam draft, finished tied for fifth in scoring with the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League last season with 16 goals and 35 points in 39 games.
Dusik had two assists in 46 games last season, while Henry notched a 4.57 goals-against average in 28 games for the Natives.
