Theo Farough guided the Neelin Spartans varsity boys’ basketball to a consolation championship at the Campbell Invitational Tournament in Regina on Saturday.
Farough, who was named to the tournament all-star team, drained 37 points as Neelin beat Saskatoon’s Bishop J. Mahoney 76-63. Quinton Hunter added 16 points.
Meanwhile, Neelin’s varsity girls team went 0-3 at the same tournament. Kristine Ward led the Spartans with 17 points in their 80-57 loss to the Notre Dame Hounds, from Wilcox, Sask., on Saturday.
