The Vincent Massey Vikings junior varsity girls basketball team celebrate their championship victory over the Crocus Plainsmen in the Brandon High School Basketball League final at Crocus Plains on Monday evening.
Shelby Nohr led the Vincent Massey Vikings to a city title Monday night.
Nohr had 17 points to lead the visiting Vikings to a 51-33 triumph over the Crocus Plainsmen to complete a sweep of the best-of-three junior varsity girls final in the Brandon High School Basketball League.
Taylor Jenkins added 10 points for Vincent Massey, which went undefeated at 6-0 in Brandon league and playoff action and now advances to the JV provincial championships in Sanford from March 7-9.
Meanwhile, in JV boys action, Crocus Plains upset visiting Vincent Massey 66-57 last night to even up the best-of-three city final 1-1. Leading scorers were not reported to the Sun by deadline last night. The deciding game will be played on Wednesday at Massey at 7:45 p.m.
