After a day of rest, Brandon’s Isabela Onyshko will be back competing at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland today.
The 16-year-old member of the Brandon Eagles Gymnastics Club will compete in the women’s artistic gymnastics beam final. She has already helped the Canadian squad finish fourth in the team event and she placed seventh all-around. Today’s event is her last at the Games.
Meanwhile, Brandonite DeLohnni Nicol-Samuel will finally compete today in the 1,500-metre heats while representing St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The 22-year-old will make his Commonwealth Games debut in the first of two heats of 13 athletes. The event final will run on Saturday.
