Brandon’s Isabela Onyshko placed seventh in the women’s artistic gymnastics all-around finals at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland on Wednesday.

The 16-year-old member of the Brandon Eagles club scored 13.133 on her floor routine, 13.766 on the vault, 12.000 on the uneven bars and 13.666 on the beam to post a total of 52.565. Ellie Black was the top Canadian, finishing fourth at 54.157, while England’s Claudia Fragapane scored 56.132 points to win gold.

Onyshko has today off before she returns to the gymnasium on Friday for the women’s beam final.

Also on Friday, Brandon’s DeLohnni Nicol-Samuel will compete in the 1,500-metre heats while representing St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
