Daylon Laramee hit a three-run home run in the first inning and the Portage Padres added five more runs in the fifth as they beat the host Carberry Royals 13-4 on Wednesday to force a fifth game in their best-of-five Santa Clara Baseball League semifinal.
Laramee finished the game with five RBIs, while Shane Dewis hit three singles and scored four times for the Padres, who host Game 5 tonight at 6:30. Jason Kirkland threw a complete game and stuck out 15 batters.
Daylon Creasy lasted five innings and took the loss for the Royals.
