Pistons edge Blues

Colin Baudry scored the first goal for the Steinbach Pistons and set up Hayden Goderis’s overtime winner on Wednesday night as the host side edged the Winnipeg Blues 3-2 in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.

Jonah Wasylak netted the other marker for the league-leading Pistons (23-7-1), while Justin Baudry picked up two assists. Jackson Keane and Scott Rowswell each had a goal and an assist for the Blues (16-11-4).

TRADES

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines acquired 19-year-old defenceman Conner Bass from the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League’s Flin Flon Bombers on Wednesday in exchange for future considerations. Bass, who’s 6-foot-3 and 195 pounds, played in 14 games with the Bombers and had one assist and 12 penalty minutes.

Meanwhile, the OCN Blizzard sent 20-year-old forward T.J. Constant to the SJHL’s Melville Millionaires for future considerations.
