The Crocus Plainsmen weren’t happy with how they started the Westman High School Rugby season, and they took out their frustration on the Swan Valley Tigers on Friday.
The Plainsmen bounced back from a season-opening shutout loss to the Vincent Massey Vikings with the most physical effort Crocus coach Sean Erickson has seen from a Plainsmen team. Crocus grabbed an early 10-0 lead on its way to a 15-5 win over the Tigers at John Reilly Field.
Steven Siebrecht, Dryden White-Eagle and George Rooke scored tries for Crocus, while Kyle Johansen scored the try for the Tigers (0-1).
