Norman Brightnose blasted a slapshot 3:15 into overtime to give the league-leading Crocus Plainsmen a 3-2 overtime victory over the Glenboro/Carberry/ Baldur Wildcats in Westman High School Hockey League action on Tuesday night at the Optimist Arena.
Layton Dornn and Taylor Maloney scored the other goals for the Plainsmen (7-1-1). Tyrel Heap earned the victory between the pipes for Crocus, which moved past the Neepawa Tigers (7-0-0) into sole possession of first place.
Josh McMillan and Colby Cullen replied with the goals last night for the Wildcats (4-2-1).
In other action, the Dauphin Clippers were scheduled to face the Minnedosa Chancellors late last night, with no result reported before deadline.
