Rebels defeat Cougars' men's, women's teams

The Assiniboine Community College Cougars women’s volleyball team dropped a pair of matches to the Red River College Rebels on Saturday at the ACC gymnasium.

The Rebels topped the Cougars 3-1 (25-23, 25-22, 19-25, 25-19) in the first match of the Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference doubleheader and followed up with another 3-1 (28-26, 23-25, 25-20, 25-20) victory. Bryndal Patterson had 30 kills on the day for the Cougars, while Maggie Ryan added 24 kills.

In men’s volleyball, the Rebels topped the Cougars in a pair of 3-0 sweeps — 25-12, 25-9, 25-14 and 25-9, 25-15, 25-20. Statistics from those matches were unavailable.
