Richards pitched five innings for the win, giving up both Plumas runs on seven hits and three walks, with three strikeouts. At the plate, he went 1-for-2, scoring two runs and driving in another. John Hutton paced the Mavericks at the plate, going 3-for-3 with three RBIs.

Zac Yandeau pitched all six innings for Plumas, allowing four earned runs. Brady Walker was 2-for-4 for the Pirates, while Yandeau went 1-for-3 with a walk and scored a run.

Meanwhile, in Carberry, Travis Mealy hit a solo home run and scored three times as the host Royals tied the Neepawa Cubs 8-8. Eric Kucharski had a pair of singles and scored twice, while Mealy and Cory Billieart split time on the mound.

Mark Kerkowich and Riley Kolesar pitched for Neepawa, while Kolesar also came around to score a pair of runs.
