Nolan Ritchie cracked the 50-goal mark and the Brandon Wheat Kings scored a 6-4 victory over the Southwest Cougars in Winnipeg AAA Hockey League Bantam Division 1 action Sunday afternoon at the Kinsmen Arena.
Mitch Thiessen also scored and added three helpers for second-place Brandon (24-9-0-2), while Calder Anderson picked up three assists.
Tyson Kozak led the fourth-place Cougars (20-10-2-2) with a pair of goals.
Meanwhile, in Shoal Lake, the West-Division leading Chiefs struck for four goals in the second period to knock off the third-place Pembina Valley Hawks 4-3.
Colby Joseph and Jake Poole each had a marker and a helper for Yellowhead (27-3-1-2), with Levi Thiessen scoring once and assisting on the other two goals for the Hawks (22-10-1-2).

Winnipeg Hawks 6 Wheat Kings 4
At Enns Brothers Arena, the Wheat Kings rallied from a 6-1 deficit but couldn’t make it all the way back against the Hawks.
Daemon Hunt led Brandon with two goals and two assists, with Ritchie adding a goal to go with two helpers.
Kale Price collected four assists for the Hawks (26-5-2-1), who sit second in the East Division.
Chiefs 9 Parkland Rangers 2
In Foxwarren, a five-goal, first-period deficit was too much for the Rangers as they were beaten soundly.
Zach Veitch lit the lamp twice and added a helper, while Rory McNabb had a goal and two assists for the Chiefs.
Aidan Brook and Garrett Hrechka replied for the sixth-place Rangers (6-27-0-1).
