Kelly Robertson’s bid to win a third straight provincial senior men’s curling title came up one end short Monday.
The Neepawa skip — playing with third Doug Armour of Souris, second Peter Prokopowich of Dauphin and lead Bob Scales of Winnipeg — dropped a tough 7-6 decision to West Kildonan’s Bob Sigurdson in yesterday afternoon’s Strathcona Senior Men’s Provincial Curling Championship final in Killarney. Robertson led 6-5 entering the 10th and final end, but gave up a deuce to Sigurdson to end his two-year run as provincial champion.
