Hamiota Huskies girls soccer player Kailan Robinson has been named the Tri-Star rural high school athlete of the week.
The 5-foot-8 forward helped her team earn a bronze medal at the recent provincial rural soccer championship in Altona, where she was named player of the game in a semifinal against the Rivers Rams. Robinson also helped her team win gold at the Steinbach tournament and capture the Zone 10 championship while scoring once and setting up four other goals.
