Sabres' Tuttosi rural athlete of the week

Souris Sabres varsity girls’ basketball player Emily Tuttosi has been named the Tri-Star rural high school athlete of the week.

The 5-foot-9 guard is averaging 10.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.8 steals per game this season for the Sabres. Tuttosi has led her Souris team with all-star performances in a pair of tournaments at the Sabres Shootout and the Husky Invitational this season. Tuttosi, who also excels in the classroom with a 95 per cent average, also plays rugby for the Sabres.

"Emily, simply put, is every coach’s dream," stated Sabres head coach Trever Penner in a news release.
