Scott, Glowa lead Vikings' attack

Brittany Scott and Morgan Glowa both went 4-for-5 at the plate for the Vincent Massey Vikings as they beat the Neelin Spartans 18-4 in Brandon High School Girls Fastball League play Thursday afternoon at Neelin.

Kaitlyn Payette picked up the win for the Vikings (3-0) while Courtney Bryant received the loss. MacKenzie Bortis led the Spartans’ (1-3) offence with three hits in three at-bats.

That loss closed out Neelin’s regular season and forced them out of the playoff picture. The regular season wraps up on Tuesday when the Crocus Plainsmen (1-2) host the Vikings.
