Senkbeil scores double OT winner

The Brandon female midget Wheat Kings had to put in some overtime on Wednesday.

Kinsley Senkbeil scored with less than two minutes left in the second overtime period of their Rural Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League playoff game at Pierson to earn the Wheaties a 1-0 win over Melita. Kasie McLaughlin set up the game’s lone goal and Stacy Shearer earned the shutout in net.

With the victory, Brandon advances to the second round of playoffs against Souris.
