Hunter Goodon scored the Brandon Wheat Kings’ lone goal in their 3-1 loss to the Winnipeg Sharks in Sunday’s Winnipeg AAA Bantam Hockey League game at Westman Place.
Connor Gutenberg and Carson Ransom picked up assists for Brandon (0-3-0).
At Wawanesa, the Southwest Cougars were shut out 3-0 by the Interlake Lightning. The Cougars (1-4-0) outshot the Lightning 31-27.
Meanwhile, Cole Stanley scored a natural hat trick to help the Brandon Bantam AA Wheat Kings beat the Central Plains Capitals 6-4 in an exhibition game on Sunday at Westman Place.
Jaxon Heeney added a goal and two assists.
