James Shearer scored once and added a helper as the Brandon Midget AAA Wheat Kings beat the Yellowhead Chiefs 4-0 in an exhibition game Friday night at Shoal Lake.
Tanner Kaspick led Brandon with three assists. Robert Hechler, Bradley Schoonbaert and Josh Kobelka scored the other goals for Brandon, while Justin Holder and Ty Gutenberg split the shutout in net.
The Wheat Kings are now 2-0 in pre-season play.
