Skate Brandon to host awards and ice show

Skate Brandon will be the host club for the 30th anniversary Manitoba Grassroots Bursary Awards Luncheon and Ice Show.

The event will be held at the Keystone Centre on April 27, with 20 of Manitoba’s high-performance team members showcasing their skills in an individual showcase and in a group number choreographed by Skate Brandon coach Tammy McKay. Of those 20 skaters, eight will be from the Brandon club, and the Wheat City’s ConnXion synchronized skating team will also be guest performers at the event.

Tickets for the ice show are $15, while admission to both the show and luncheon is $35. All Brandon School Division students who present their student card and children 12-and-under can attend the ice show free of charge. Tickets can be purchased by calling Miranda Edwards at 204-726-8892.
