Heidi Smith had 18 points and Natalie Vachon added 16 to lead the Virden Golden Bears to a 68-45 victory over the host team in the Melville (Sask.) Invitational varsity girls high school basketball tournament on Saturday night.
Virden beat Weyburn, Sask., 79-71 in the semifinals behind 24 points from Kylie Gompf, 17 from Heidi Smith and 16 from Jade Smith.
