Souris girls make the cut

Four Souris players have made the cut for the University of Calgary’s Dinos women’s team that will compete in the Canadian University Sevens Rugby Championship.

Dinos captain Amanda Williams and fellow Souris natives Brynna Walker, Ellen McGregor and Jodie Hicks — all members of the U of C’s regular rugby team — made the 12-member sevens squad at team tryouts in Calgary. They will compete at the CIS 7s championship in Langford, B.C., from March 1-2.
