The Souris Sabres came out on top during the inaugural Westman high school varsity girls rugby 7s jamboree at Brandon on Sunday.
The Sabres won all four of their games, allowing 10 points along the way. Birtle was 3-1, Vincent Massey went 2-2 and both Crocus Plains teams went 0-3.
The second jamboree of the fall will be held on Sunday at Souris at 10 a.m. The final one starts at 5 p.m. on Oct. 3 at Birtle. For full results from Sunday, see Page B4.
