The Neelin Spartans varsity boys got a measure of revenge in the Brandon High School Volleyball League season opener on Tuesday night.
The Spartans beat the visiting Vincent Massey Vikings 3-1 (25-27, 25-22, 25-17, 25-19), behind 19 kills and six blocks from Theo Farough and nine kills and eight blocks by Brandon Lalonde.
The Vikings had beaten the Spartans in the championship final of the Brandon University Bobcats High School Boys’ Tournament Saturday night at Neelin.
For the Vikings, Joel Rocan had 11 kills Tuesday, while Clark Whelpton added six kills.
