• 40 YEARS AGO — Doug Wotton’s three-goal performance helped the Deloraine Royals dump the Pierson Bruins 10-3 in a South West Hockey League game. Clark Tweed added a pair of goals.
•30 YEARS AGO — Brian Braybrooks scored his third goal of the game to give the Virden Oil Kings an 8-8 tie with the Pierson Bruins in a South West Hockey League game.
•20 YEARS AGO — Brad Pilling’s second goal of the game 3:24 into overtime lifted the Elkhorn Canadians to an 8-7 win over the Virden Oil Kings in South West Hockey League action.
