• 40 YEARS AGO — Don Robins pitched Brandon Auto Electric to a 13-4 romp over Manco Clippers in Brandon Centennial Fastball League playoff action.

• 30 YEARS AGO —Crocus Plainsmen quarterback Dave Dixon had a field day against the Daniel McIntyre Maroons defence, firing touchdown strikes of 38 and 68 yards to Dennis Kelly and Gerald Bourdeau D’Hui, respectively, in a 34-9 victory in SouthWest High School Football League action.
