The Waywayseecappo Wolverines fell victim to Shane Gingera and the hottest team in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League on Tuesday night.
Gingera’s hat trick sparked the league-leading Selkirk Steelers to a 4-1 victory to stretch their winning streak to 19 games.
Elsewhere, it was: Dauphin Kings 6, OCN Blizzard 3.
In Waywayseecappo, Erik Pushka also scored for the Steelers (39-6-2), while Devon Schade replied for the Wolverines (12-30-2), who took a 1-0 lead into the second period but went on to drop their sixth straight game.

In Dauphin, Mitch Van Teeling had two goals and an assist while fellow Brandonite Brayden Cuthbert had one goal and one assist to lead the Kings (29-14-1). Dillon McCombie, Tanner Lomsnes and Souris native Hudson Morrison also scored while Michael Stiliadis made 51 saves as Dauphin won its eighth in a row to move two points up on the idle Virden Oil Capitals for top spot in the Sher-Wood Division. Tyler Grove replied with two goals and an assist for OCN (17-25-4).
