Brandon’s Ian Swain earned a silver medal in his division at the 2012 Special Olympics North American Golf Invitational Tournament Sunday in Litchfield Park, Ariz.
Swain shot rounds of 47, 49 and 55 to finish with a total of 151, good enough for second place behind gold medallist John Stapleton of Elkridge, Md., in the Level 4 nine-hole individual stroke play division. Stapleton shot 50-43-50—143 to finish first in the three-day competition. A total of 203 golfers from the United States and Canada took part in the tournament.
