Thacker scores a pair of RMFL awards

Dauphin’s Logan Thacker has won a pair of year-end awards in the Rural Manitoba Football League.

Thacker was named the nine-man high school football league’s most outstanding defensive player and also won the Norris Aitken Award for leadership on and off the field and in the classroom.

Virden provided the league’s best linemen this season as James Trider was named the league’s most outstanding offensive lineman and teammate Jonathan Kliever was the league’s most outstanding defensive lineman.

East Parkland’s Travis Olafson was the league’s most outstanding offensive player while Swan Valley’s Eric Klein was named rookie of the year. Swan Valley was selected as having the best coaching staff.

Odd, Southwest was the strongest team, but not on the trophies. Must show a well rounded team, that there is not one standout!
