Brandonite Amanda Thornborough has been named to the active roster for today’s friendly rugby match between the Canadian and Australian women’s teams in New Zealand.
Thornborough cracked the 23-player roster in what will be one of the final opportunities for head coach Francois Ratier to figure out which players and combinations he will use at the World Cup, which will be held in August in France. Canada will also take on defending World Cup champion New Zealand in exhibition matches on Tuesday and June 14.
