Tigers even semifinal

Captain Garett Rempel opened and closed the scoring Tuesday as the host Neepawa Tigers knocked off the Deloraine/Hartney Colts in the Westman High School Hockey League playoffs.

The Tigers, who won their third straight provincial AA hockey championship in Russell over the weekend, evened the best-of-three league semifinal 1-1, with Game 3 slated for Thursday in Deloraine at 7 p.m.

Wyatt Salmon, Preston James and Brett McKinnon also scored for Neepawa, while Trent Nelson had a pair of assists. Quin Hobbs replied with the lone goal for Deloraine/Hartney.
