Kyle Rubeniuk, Dylan Tanner and Robert Wishart all scored two goals and set up another for the Major Pratt Trojans as they moved within one win of advancing to the Westman High School Hockey League’s championship series on Sunday.
Brayden Cullum added a goal and two assists for the Trojans as they doubled up the Dauphin Clippers 8-4 in the opening game of their best-of-three semifinal in Russell. Chad Kilimnik supplied the other marker for Major Pratt, which held 3-0 and 7-3 leads after the first and second periods, respectively.
Dylan Ushkowski replied with a pair of markers for Dauphin, while Theron Ash and Brendan Kruk both had a goal and an assist. Dauphin will host Game 2 on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
