Erickson’s Bobbi-Rae Uhl topped the junior women’s leaderboard in the Golf Manitoba Regional Team Championship on Wednesday at the Shilo Country Club.
Uhl shot an 84 for a two-day total of 167 for a two-stroke victory in the field of 10 junior girls. Uhl and her Westman teammates finished third in the team competition with a total score of 377, behind second-place Interlake (375) and first-place Winnipeg (341). Westman’s Tianna Slate shot 102 yesterday, while Hayley Shanks shot 120.
In the junior men’s division, Team Westman’s Zach Whitecloud finished in second place in the individual competition with a 74 yesterday for a two-round total of 155, two strokes back of Aaron Ogrodnick of Team NorMan.
Team Westman Blue placed second with a total score of 484, finishing two strokes back of Team Winnipeg Blue. Austin Dobrescu shot 78, Zach Wytinck carded an 81 and Joel Baron shot a 79 yesterday. Team Westman Gold finished third out of six teams with a total of 487, led by Whitecloud’s 74, 89 from Kolby Day, an 83 from Braden Clement and 79 from Carson Ransom.
