Vikings top Clippers

Troy Heywood and Bradley Schoonbaert both scored one goal and set up another as the Vincent Massey Vikings leaped over the host Dauphin Clippers in the Westman High School Hockey League standings with a 3-1 win Sunday afternoon.

Clark Whelpton also scored for Massey (11-5-0), which got a 35-save performance from Reid Stallard. Daniel Chartrand replied for Dauphin (10-3-1).

In Saturday’s WHSHL games:

• Jesse Adams and Riley Kolesar had two goals and two assists each as the Neepawa Tigers improved their record to 16-0-1 with a 12-1 victory over the Killarney/Wawanesa Raiders (4-13-1) at Wawanesa.

• Adam Wright and Colin Van Kommer both had a goal and an assist for the Glenboro/Carberry/Baldur Wildcats (11-5-1) in their 5-2 win over the Deloraine/Hartney Colts (11-4-2) at Baldur. Nial Mills and Tyler Chen replied for the Colts.

• The Minnedosa Chancellors beat the Souris/Reston Sabres 9-2.
