Former Brandon Wheat Kings centre Brenden Walker has earned the nod as the WHL’s player of the week.

The 20-year-old captain of the Saskatoon Blades fired four goals in four games, finishing with nine points and an impressive +6 plus/minus rating while helping the Blades run the table last week with four straight wins.

Walker, a Ste. Anne native who was acquired by the Memorial Cup host Blades in the off-season after three years with the Wheat Kings, is currently fourth in scoring for Saskatoon with 20 goals and 51 points in 55 games.
