In the Olympic distance class — 1.5 km swim, 40 km bike and 10 km run — Patrick Peacock from Winnipeg was the fastest man, completing the triathlon in two hours, eight minutes and 10 seconds.
Brandon’s Ryan Lamont finished fourth in the men’s 20-29 age class.
Jason Zinko finished 15th, Chris Fortier was 22nd, Mark Phinney was 25th, Sean Wojnarski was 26th, and Chris Olynyk was 27th in the men’s 30-39 age class.
John Kelleher finished third, David Ferguson finished sixth and John Blyth finished ninth in men’s 50-59 age class.
Melissa Green was eighth and Catherine Bell was 10th in the women’s 20-29 age class.
Allison Reville was 14th in the women’s 30-39 age class.
Rossburn’s Michaela France was fifth in the women’s 40-49 age class.
Neepawa’s Team Leapfrog was the top Westman team, finishing second in the mixed team class with a combined time of 2:41:41.
In the sprint distance class — 750 m swim, 20 km bike and 5 km run — Regina’s Ryan Leibel was the fastest competitor, finishing with a time of one hour and eight minutes flat.
Virden’s Drew Cochrane was second in the men’s 15-19 age class.
Clayton Heppner was second and Shilo’s Dan McInnis was 19th in the men’s 20-29 age class.
Jason Alston was fourth and Brent Kyle was 12th in the men’s 30-39 age class.
Glenboro’s Kevin Newton was fourth, Terry Browett finished 27th in the men’s 40-49 age class.
Raelene Sawatzky-Dyck was fourth in the women’s 15-19 age group.
Shoal Lake’s Alanna Simpson was ninth, Souris’ Karrie Gerow was 11th, Russel’s Danielle Van Damme was 17th, Brandon’s Stephanie Dornn, Tilda Fortier and Rhea Lefko were 20th, 21st, and 26th in the women’s 20-29 age class. Shoal Lake’s Mandy Simpson was 27th.
Souris’ Rene Stone was third, Macgregor’s Pam May, Stacie Spak, Jolene MacDonald were seventh, eighth, and 13th in the women’s 30-39 age class. Brandon’s Jenn Shields came in 26th.
Laurie Newton was eighth, Rhonda Smith was 18th, Sherry Sawatzky-Dyck was 20th, and Elizabeth Gebauer was 27th in the women’s 40-49 age class.
Kim Booth was sixth and Souris’ Carol Gerow was 10th in the women’s 50-59 age class.
Team Onanoleans, from Onanole, won the mixed team class in the sprint.
