Canada will begin pursuit of its second straight women’s under-18 world hockey title today in Vierumäki, Finland.
Neepawa defenceman Halli Krzyzaniak is an alternate captain for the Canadian team, which opens against Hungary this morning. Krzyzaniak and forward Ashleigh Brykaliuk of Brandon are both veterans of last year’s squad, which won Canada’s second gold medal in the five-year history of the event.
